Courtney Dauwalter: Cocodona 250

Cocodona 250 2026: Courtney Dauwalter's Desert Redemption.

The fifth edition of the Cocodona 250 was one for the history books — and for SunGod athlete Courtney Dauwalter, it was deeply personal.

Last year, the ultrarunning icon had been leading the entire field when a DNF forced her off course at mile 108. She returned to Arizona in 2026 with one goal: reach Flagstaff. "The DNF in 2025 was the first part of my Cocodona story," she said ahead of the race.

Paced by Canadian Marianne Hogan through the late stages, Dauwalter steadily moved through the field across the high desert to cross the finish line second among the women and sixth overall in 61:58:35 — a time that bettered the previous women's course record.

The race's headline belonged to Rachel Entrekin, who became the first woman ever to win the Cocodona 250 outright, setting an overall course record of 56:09:48 in her third consecutive women's title. Megan Eckert took third in 63:09:07, and Kilian Korth won the men's race in 57:28:36.

For Dauwalter, the finish line in Flagstaff was the goal — and she got there in style. The Cocodona story continues.
