INEOS Grenadiers partner with SunGod

We've Joined Forces with Cycling's Most Iconic Team

Cycling

Relentless, unrivalled, iconic. This is just the beginning.

Today marks the beginning of our new, long-term relationship as Official Eyewear Partner for the world-renowned professional cycling team, INEOS Grenadiers

The alliance brings with it our official entrance to the men’s UCI World Tour, where the INEOS Grenadiers - previously known as Team Sky - have won 7 of the last 11 editions of the Tour de France.

Our new partnership with the Grenadiers will see the team putting SunGod eyewear through its paces at the very highest level. They'll be sporting our men's cycling sunglasses and women's cycling sunglasses in both their elite road cycling and off-road racing programmes. They’ll race in our award-winning Pace Series™ collection, featuring our signature 8KO® lens technology: a 2mm nylon-based lens material which is both lighter and clearer than industry-standard polycarbonate.

The Grenadiers’ well-known philosophy of constantly innovating to race faster is closely aligned with SunGod’s mission to “See Better”, as we strive to endlessly improve on the industry standard, fuelled by feedback from the world’s best athletes - now including the Grenadiers themselves.

INEOS Grenadiers riders have achieved widespread success at the highest levels of the sport. Riders include Geraint Thomas, winner of the Tour de France, 3-time World Champion and 2-time Olympic Champion; Egan Bernal, who has claimed both the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France; Filippo Ganna, Hour Record holder and 5-time individual time trial World Champion; Tom Pidcock, Cyclocross World Champion, European Cross Country champion, Olympic Gold medallist and Tour de France Stage Winner; and Tao Geoghegan Hart, Giro d'Italia winner.

As a B Corp™, we have been committed to pioneering social and environmental sustainability since Day 1, from our unique lifetime guarantee on all products, to projects like our MOMENTUM campaign - a celebration of female cyclists on the road to the Tour de France Femmes. INEOS Grenadiers’ recent signing of 10-time multi-disciplinary World Champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot, who'll be riding in SunGod eyewear from mid-January, builds solid foundations for us to work together to drive positive, lasting change in the sport.

Rod Ellingworth, Deputy Team Principal of INEOS Grenadiers said:

“INEOS Grenadiers is a performance-led team so we pride ourselves on working with the most forward-thinking, agile and performance-driven partners – that’s why we’ve chosen SunGod as our new, long-term eyewear partner. The quality of their road cycling sunglasses and commitment to continuously raising the industry bar is excellent and we’re really excited by the pipeline of innovative products we will develop together. We’re delighted to welcome SunGod to the team and look forward to showcasing their sunglasses at the highest level of competitive cycling.”

Ali Watkiss, CEO and Co-Founder of SunGod said:

“Securing the support of the Grenadiers in our mission to See Better is a statement of SunGod's deep-rooted ambition to challenge and change our industry for the better. We’re deeply honoured that the team have chosen to put their trust in us and feel proud to become a part of the Grenadiers’ phenomenal place in the history of this great sport.”

Over the coming years, we'll be working hand-in-hand with the INEOS Grenadiers to continue to develop market-leading eyewear, which allows the team to continue their drive for excellence in the cycling industry. Together, we'll be curating incredible content, levelling up our social and environmental commitments, and enhancing our products, with innovation led by the world's best cyclists.

As SunGod and INEOS Grenadiers join forces, we're united by a shared mission to See Better and raise the bar for our industry. This is just the beginning.
