In the first global climate positive sports league.

The Great Britain SailGP Team, led by Sir Ben Ainslie and Hannah Mills OBE, competes in SailGP, the first global climate positive sports league. SailGP features national teams battling for the title in short, intense races at iconic stadium-style venues across the globe. The high-tech, high-speed action features sailing’s best athletes racing in identical hydro-foiling F50 catamarans, flying at speeds exceeding 100kph.

Why SailGP?

The team aims to use its sporting platform to play their part in the vital action needed to tackle the climate emergency. Its F50 catamaran features a striking ‘Protect Our Future’ livery, which promotes the Great Britain SailGP Team’s new climate education platform. This was founded to help over 1 million young people take action to protect nature, people and the planet.

The first Climate Positive Sports League

Off the water, the team also competes in SailGP’s Impact League, an innovative new competition where athletes and teams are rewarded for positive environmental and sustainable actions in a league running parallel to the main sailing championship. By working with SunGod - a brand committed to doing better for the planet - the team will win points in the Impact League, which in turn boosts their position in the overall standings. SunGod will play a pivotal role in helping the team win points in their overall standing by working with a brand committed to doing better for the planet.

For Seasons 3, 4 and 5 of the SailGP league, SunGod will equip both the race and shore team with the highest level of performance eyewear. Together, SunGod and the Great Britain SailGP Team are committed to building momentum behind their shared vision of seeing a better future
