This week, she’s back at it, taking on the brutal Cocodona 250 - a 250-mile epic across Arizona’s unforgiving terrain. It’s one of the toughest ultramarathons on the planet, and Courtney is once again showing up with her trademark mix of joy, strength, and total commitment to the long haul.

Live Updates: Courtney at Cocodona 250

Day 1: Race Start and the First 36 Miles
Before dawn had even broken Courtney set off with 306 other runners to take on the epic Cocodona course. She was in good spirits feeling good and ready for the adventure of the next few days. Oh and is that a new signature series we see on her face?
By 0900am she was the Top female and holding 5th overall. The first portion of the race is brutal with runners not seeing their support crews for 36miles. Due to the extreme weather in the Arizona wilderness they must also carry 4litres of water with them adding significant weight as they head up the first few climbs.
As Courtney entered Crown King she was full of smiles. Touching base with her crew and checking in with her Husband, and king of planning, Kevin. A pack change, clean of her glasses and she was off. Into another climb and gaining some places.
Courtney now sits in 2nd overall heading into the first night. We will catch her again at the Whiskey Row aid station and then Mingus Summit in the early hours of the morning.
